1. Who we are
Trips Gate Ltd ("we", "us") is an independent travel planning company and a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17473106). Our registered office is Flat 1, 23 Chapel Place, Northampton, England, NN1 4AQ.
2. What we provide
We create tailored travel itineraries. Depending on the package you choose, a plan may include a suggested route, a day-by-day itinerary, hotel suggestions, transport advice, restaurant and activity picks, a budget estimate and practical tips. The contents of each package are set out on our Services page and confirmed to you before you pay.
3. What we do not provide
We are a planning service only. We do not sell, book or arrange flights, hotels, transport, activities or package holidays, and we do not take payment for any travel services. We are not an airline, tour operator or hotel. You book any travel directly with the suppliers you choose, and those bookings are contracts between you and the supplier, governed by the supplier's own terms.
4. Your trip brief and our quote
Sending a trip brief does not commit you to anything. After reading it we will recommend a package and confirm your exact fee, the delivery date and any optional extras in writing. Our prices start from the amounts shown on our website and the final fee depends on the number of cities, group size and how quickly you need your plan. A contract is formed only when you accept our quote and pay the planning fee.
5. Payment
The planning fee is payable in full before we start work, unless we agree otherwise in writing. All prices are in pounds sterling. We will tell you how to pay when we confirm your fee.
6. Delivery
Unless we agree a different date, we aim to deliver your plan within 5 working days of receiving your payment and all the information we need. Rush delivery is available as a paid extra where we can accommodate it. Your plan is delivered as a PDF by email.
7. Revisions
Revision rounds are included as described in your package. A revision means adjusting the plan you have received, for example changing the pace, the number of cities or the hotel style. Changing to a substantially different destination or trip length counts as a new plan, and we will quote for it separately.
8. Cancellations and refunds
- If you cancel before we start work on your plan, we will refund your fee in full.
- If you cancel after we have started drafting, we will refund part of the fee, keeping an amount that reflects the work already done. We will explain the amount before refunding.
- Once your plan has been delivered, the fee is not refundable, except as set out in section 9.
If you are a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract made online or by phone. By asking us to start work within that period, you agree that you will pay for the work done up to the point you cancel, and that you lose the right to cancel once the plan has been fully delivered.
9. If something is wrong with your plan
We will prepare your plan with reasonable care and skill. If you think it contains a mistake or does not match what we agreed, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will correct it at no extra cost. If we cannot put it right, we will give you an appropriate refund.
10. Prices, availability and supplier information
Hotel, transport and activity prices, availability, opening times and schedules are set by third parties and change often. Any prices or timings in your plan are estimates based on information available when we wrote it. Please check details with the supplier before you book. We cannot guarantee supplier prices or availability.
11. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about your trip, travellers and any needs we should plan around.
- Check passport validity, visas, entry rules, health requirements and travel advice for every traveller before booking, using official sources such as GOV.UK foreign travel advice.
- Read and accept each supplier's terms when you book with them.
- Arrange suitable travel insurance. We strongly recommend you do this as soon as you book.
12. Recommendation links and commission
Some recommendation links in our plans or on our website may earn us a small commission from the supplier, at no extra cost to you. We will always tell you where this applies. Commission never decides what we recommend.
13. Our liability
We are not responsible for the acts, omissions or services of airlines, hotels, transport operators or other suppliers, including delays, cancellations, schedule changes or the quality of their services, or for decisions you make about what to book. If we are found liable to you, our total liability is limited to the planning fee you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
14. Use of your plan
Your plan is for your personal use and for the people travelling with you. Please do not resell or publish it without our permission.
15. Using this website
The content on this website is for general information. You must not misuse the site, try to gain unauthorised access to it or use it for any unlawful purpose. Your use of the site is also covered by our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclaimer.
16. Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
